Organization celebrates National Business Women’s Week
The Business and Professional Women’s Clubs of Fayette County (Connellsville, Masontown and Uniontown) celebrate NBWW by offering communities, companies, and organizations an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of working women. It also offers a chance for local BPW organizations to recognize individuals and companies which have made strides toward improving workingwomen’s lives in their communities.
However, the mission of BPW is not yet complete. Today, women in the workplace and their allies continue to advocate for programs and policies that will benefit all members of society, including equal pay for equal work, paid sick leave, paid family leave, and equal leadership and advancement opportunities, better working conditions for working women through the study of social, educational, economic, and political issues. BPW is a leading advocacy organization for working women. Members (men and women) benefit from networking opportunities, resources, career education, programs, and visibility.
During this special week, please applaud the tremendous accomplishments of the women of Fayette County and join them in their pursuit of justice, fairness, and opportunity for all. Your acknowledgement of their efforts is very much appreciated.
