My name is Theresa “Tina” Allen and I am a candidate for North Union tax collector. I am qualified for this position and have completed Act 48 Tax Collector Qualification Exam. I have a business background.

If elected as your North Union tax collector, I will take my position seriously. I will personally be in the office to answer questions face to face. I will utilize the latest technology to update the present office. As your tax collector I plan on being in the office full time. So many people think it is not a full-time position and think the only time you need to be in the office is tax time. I believe the office should be ran the same everyday. As a bonus, I will obtain my Notary license, the notary fee will be at no cost to North Union residents.

My vision for the tax office has always been proactive not reactive. I have always been consistent across the board since day one of my campaign. I will work for you the tax payer and give 110 percent. This will be my full-time job. 

Some facts about me: Graduated from Laurel Highlands class of 1976, Member of St. John’s the Evangelist Church, treasure of my class reunion, committee person for Little Princess and Prince pageant and the Diaper Derby at the Fayette County Fair, member of the Hopwood Villagers, committee person for activities for Home for the Holidays in Uniontown, currently raised over $9,200 for the snowflakes and Christmas decorations for Uniontown, member of the Republican Women of Fayette County Council, member of Fayette Conservative Council of Republican Women and the Fayette County Republicans.

If elected as North Union tax collector, I plan on having a yearly hog roast (hamburgers and hot dogs too). I think this would be a wonderful event to bring the residents of North Union together as a community.
