Rick Saccone lost a Trump-plus-20 congressional district to an unknown Democrat with no experience in office. Now he’s asking for a second chance in the new 14th District?

No way.

Saccone had plenty of opportunity. The fact is that he didn’t work hard enough raising money and expected outside groups to do the work on his behalf. People don’t like entitled politicians. The Republican loss has emboldened the Democrats like never before. If they could win Tim Murphy’s old district, surely they think they can capture the 14th as well.

Saccone didn’t do the work and he certainly didn’t earn a second chance. We need a new face — someone with enthusiasm and a proven record. State Sen. Guy Reschenthaler is the best candidate to save this district for the GOP.
