Insults against President Trump immature

2 min read

Mr. Spiegler, I have been reading your letters without really responding before but I have tolerated your disrespect of our president for as long as I can.

You state in your editorial published in the Feb. 2 edition that our president has “indelibly stained” our country with his immigration policies. He has never said he is against legal immigration of people who want to come here with good intentions. As far as your implication that he does not welcome non-Christian immigrants, it is well known that some followers of Islam have been radicalized by ISIS. Do you think taking a chance by allowing these people to enter our country a wise decision?

As for your point on his tweeting and immature insults, I tend to agree. He needs to guard his words.

As for your statement on the FBI and DOJ, if there has been criminal activity in any governmental department, it should be brought to light and punished. Your North Korea comments have no pertinence. The former administration was responsible for turning a “blind eye” to the North Korea increasing their nuclear program to the point it is right now. So, if you’re going to point fingers of blame to anyone for the escalation, they should be pointed toward Obama. “Cozying up to ruthless dictators”? Who is Trump cozying up to?

As for loosening environmental regulations, those very regulations were so extreme that many of our industries were being destroyed by them. Does that make you happy that thousands of hard-working men lost their jobs because the radical environmentalists thought it wise for our country to strangle our industries while all along countries like Russia and Germany continue to prosper by not complying with the regulations?

A real patriot, even though he or she is unhappy with who won the election, should pray for and support our leaders instead of demeaning them weekly in their local newspaper.
