Thanks to Community Action for their help
I am writing in regards to Community Action of Fayette County. I came to be a resident of the Fairweather Lodge in Connellsville several months ago by way of the Domestic Violence Services in Uniontown. The reason I am writing this is to convey how beautifully I have been treated by the staff at the lodge. I was given permanent housing within three weeks of my arrival in Pennsylvania from Ohio. I had nothing but $400 cash a $500 dollar car and two totes of clothes and three shirts.
I now have closet full of clothes and a dresser full of clothes, several new pairs of shoes, new coats, food everything i need. The lady who runs the home is Mimi McDonough. She works tirelessly caring, supporting, transporting us and has two other homes also while caring for her 96-year-old mother as well. If there ever was a woman of the year award Mimi should receive it along with Heather her boss at Community Action.
Mimi never tires, never complains, never shows frustration always stays the same. Domestic Violence Services and Community Action work so well together for us while serving everyone’s various disabilities. I want donators to know how well and how much they do for us as a whole!. I want you to know how grateful I am for everything that has been done for me and others through these programs.
But this letter today isn’t intended to be about me. It’s meant to be about how tirelessly social workers work everyday for all of us in need and how much they are needed. Thank you Fayette County Community Action for all your blessings bestowed upon me. I am grateful to you all! Merry Christmas to you all.
