Not all heroes wear capes
I wanted to write and let you know about a hero that we met while we were in Brownsville.
We were in the Brownsville area for a funeral at the Acklin Funeral Park when my 83-year-old father collapsed. We struggled to get him into our car and when we finally did. We realized that we had no idea where the hospital was. Seemingly out of nowhere, a young man showed up and asked if we needed help. We asked for directions to the hospital and he simply said “Just follow me”. We got my father into our car and followed this young man to Uniontown Hospital.
We made great time and the staff at Uniontown Hospital did a wonderful job with my father. I am happy to report that he is doing well. In a situation where seconds mattered, the happy outcome wouldn’t have happened without the help of this wonderful young man, Tyler Higinbotham. We are very grateful for his quick and unselfish actions.
It’s true what they say — not all heroes wear capes. Thank you very much Tyler, you are truly our hero.
