Bigotry has been more firmly established as a bedrock principle of the Trump/Hegseth administration with the ousting of 1,000 transgender members of the military.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth took a victory lap for purging the “wokeness and weakness” in kicking out those who have honorably served a country they mistakenly believed was based on equal protection under the law.

The defense secretary delighted in the fact that there will be no more pronouns, no more “dudes in dresses”, “we’re done with that “s–“. You tell ’em, Pete!

Donald Trump, our self-appointed moral arbiter, has decreed that there are only two sexes and that transgender individuals are defective, a group of people who are to be erased from society.

When it suited him, as he was seeking the presidency in 2016, Trump asserted that the LGBT community would have no better friend. Sensible and rational people did not believe him and their fears have come to fruition.

Donald Trump’s America is a place where those who are different and those who do not toe the administration’s line must be banished.
