The Greene County Bar Association consists of attorneys who maintain an active practice in Greene County or attorneys who reside within Greene. During the bar association’s April 22 meeting, the members were honored to host the candidates in the upcoming May 20 primary election for judge of the 13th Judicial District, Greene County. The candidates were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and their candidacy to the members of the bar, field their questions, and respond to their concerns regarding judges’ roles in the practice of law in the county.

Thereafter, by vote of the members, a blind survey of the members was conducted to determine whether any of the candidates were recommended by the members of the bar. Members had the opportunity to vote for “Highly Recommended,” “Recommended,” and “Not Recommended.” Based on this survey, the members of the Greene County Bar Association issued the following findings of Highly Recommended: Christopher M. Simms; Not Recommended, Patrick D. Fitch.
