I occasionally watch the PCN channel and was surprised to see state Rep. Matt Dowling on. I felt good that a local rep. was on to talk about the conditions of Fayette County. Our schools, police hospitals, businesses and seniors are all in need of help in each of their own ways.

What a bigger surprise I got when he was preaching for Walmart and other stores to sell more beer.

I have been of legal age to buy beer for more years then he has lived and getting beer at the local tavern or distributor I did not think was a major problem. To be a LOCAL representative and push for a major change to close more business so the tax dollars dwindle more in not only Fayette County, but for the state, is ridiculous. I hope the local people send him out of state in the next election along with the tax dollars Walmart and other chains keep taking away from here.

The loss of tax revenue will probably be put on to the local people with more property taxes. That is why when asked about property tax relief the can will be kicked down the road another ten years.

I am not sure where Mr. Marks missed the mark, but there would not be a loss in tax revenue in the county or state - only convince to consumers.
