Finally, Mike Pence has commented on the Jan. 6 insurrection in which he was a key figure and victim. Referring to the former president, he stated, "I don't know if we'll ever see eye to eye on that day." That's it?

Pence's life and the life of his wife were placed in great peril by the former president, who sicced his violent mob on the Capitol as he made the idiotic assertion that Pence "didn't have the courage" to refuse to accept the Electoral College vote certifying the election of Joe Biden as president, Trump attempting to confer on Pence power that he did not possess and for which there was no legitimate basis.

Pence noted that he has spoken to Trump many times since the attack on the Capitol. I wonder if he ever confronted his master for the danger in which he willfully placed the Second Family: probably not.

Pence is willing to forgive and forget despite Trump's stunning disloyalty because he has designs on becoming president in 2025 or 2029 and he dare not upset the de facto head of the new Republican Party, knowing that condemnation from Trump will destroy any GOP member with future political aspirations in this bizarre era.

Like so many who have bowed to Trump and ignored his every atrocity, Mike Pence has sold out.

I don’t think you call that selling out. It politics and at minimum you can argue both sides do it. I would contend that dems sell out much more. See Biden.

for what it's worth

Just politics? An attack upon our Nations capitol, an effort to prevent the Constitutional requirement to certify a Presidential election, extreme violence against law enforcement and death threats against VP Pence and other elected officials on the floor of the House. Just Politics? Maybe the Politics of Russia, North Korea, Myanmar or third world dictatorships.

history repeating its self. this hole past year reminds me of the nixon era. in 1963 voting rights. is democracy for everyone or not? so no i don't think this isn't what veterans fought for. all people and our politicians need to go by the laws. work for the people not working to fill your pockets with lies and deceit...
