School Board meetings Voting sessions are held 6 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month with work sessions held at 6 p.m. the Monday before. Locations for both meetings are as follows: January/February, George J. Plava Elementary; March/April, D. Ferd Swaney Elementary; May/June, Friendship Hill Elementary; July/August, Masontown Elementary; September/October, A.L. Wilson Elementary; November/December, Smithfield Elementary.

Albert Gallatin Army Junior ROTC program held a recruitment invitational day at the high school. Cadets from Albert Gallatin High School JROTC participated in the Stephen Siller 5k in New York that honors first responders, EMT, firefighters, police and service members of the Armed Forces affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2011.
