The Academy of Finance at Laurel Highlands High School instructs more than 150 students daily in subjects of accounting, investing, finance and insurance. But the audience that business teacher Jeremy Bryson is hoping to reach is a little wider.

Dr. Jessica Scott, new school principal, planned a holiday event that brought joy to Marshall Elementary students and community families. After conducting a lengthy executive session and hearing from members of the public, the Laurel Highlands School Board voted to extend the contract of head football coach Richard Kolesar for two years.
Fifth graders in the Laurel Highlands School District will continue to experience the full scope of the district’s outdoor school after the school board voted to restore the overnight component of the annual program.
