Mr. and Mrs. Donald Whetsel of Upper Middletown celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 31. They were married in 1962 by the Rev. Harry Davis at the Harbor of Light Chapel, Uniontown.

Mrs. Whetsel is the former Ethel Craft, daughter of the late John and Florence Craft. She is employed at Ames Department Store, Uniontown.

Mr. Whetsel is the son of the late Harry and Catherine Whetsel.

They are the parents of two sons, Donald Allen and Scott Edward. They have one granddaughter, Nicole Whetsel of Fairchance.
