John and Rose Marie Koziel of Uniontown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 9. They were honored Saturday at a dinner hosted by their children and grandchildren.

Msgr. John Blazic married them Aug. 9, 1952, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.

They are the parent of eight children. They are, Rose Ann Hough and her husband, Wes, of Wheeling, W.Va.; John Koziel of New Eagle; Joyce Walters and her husband, Jim, of Hopwood; Tom Koziel and fianc’e, Barb Ryan, of Uniontown; Bob Koziel and his wife, Leslie, of New Eagle; Patty Perkins and her husband, Jeff, of Uniontown; Lori Mariotti and her husband, Brian, of Uniontown, and the late Ron Koziel.

They have 17 grandchildren, Kevin, Brian, Jason, Brandon and Justin Hough; Kelly and John Koziel; Bob, Leigh Ann and Michael Walters; Taylor and Lindsey Koziel; Brian, Jeremy, Josh and Rebecca Perkins; and Jacob Mariotti.

Mrs. Koziel is the former Rose Marie Moser, daughter of the late Michael and Anna Moser of Uniontown. Mr. Koziel is the son of the late John and Mary Koziel of Footedale. He is a retired employee of Stroehmann’s Bakery. He is the owner of the Hopwood Hardware and Koziel’s Auto Sales of Hopwood.
