Handschumakers mark 58th wedding anniversary

William and Mildred E. Handschumaker of Uniontown will celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary on May 23. They were married in 1944 at the Fayette County Courthouse by Justice of the Peace Bruce Sterling.

Mr. Handschumaker left for overseas duty in World War II five days after their marriage and returned two years later. He served under Gen. George S. Patton’s 3rd Army. He is retired from Jack’s Mold and Machine.

Mrs. Handschumaker is the former Mildred Hostetler.
