Marian and Anthony Sparinga of Perryopolis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday. They were married Nov. 8, 1952 at St. Rosalia Catholic Church, Pittsburgh.

They have two children, Wayne Sparinga and his wife, Lynne, of Dawson, and Janice Stewart and her husband, Gene, of Grandbury, Texas.

There are four grandchildren, Gene and Jarrod Stewart and Melanie and Rachel Sparinga. They also have a great-grandchild, Zane Stewart.

They were honored at a dinner at the Main Course in Belle Vernon.
