Coles observe 60th wedding anniversary at open house
Charles and Betty Cole of Mather will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday. They were married Oct. 17, 1942.
Mrs. Cole is the former Betty Brocco. She was employed at Bower Hotel in Fredericktown for 13 years.
Mr. Cole retired in 1983 after 30 years employment as a coal miner with J & L. Steel, Vesta 5 Mine.
They are the parents of two children, Frances King of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and Charles M. Cole of Austintown, Ohio.
They have three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A surprise open house for family and friends will be held in their honor on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Greene Valley Church of God, Carmichaels-Crucible Road, approximately three miles from Carmichaels.
