Val and Anne Skiera of Port St. Lucie, Fla., celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Sept. 27 at a party hosted by their daughter, Phyllis, and attended by family and friends. Former Uniontown residents, the couple has resided in Florida for 45 years.

Mrs. Skiera is the former Anne Venick of Revere.

They are the parents of the following children, Phyllis Irvine of Jupiter, Fla.; Dana of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Louis Skiera and wife, Barbara, of Jupiter, Fla.; and Michael Skiera and wife, Marianne of Delray Beach, Fla.

They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
