Bernard (Butch) and Bonnie Dean of Dupont Village, Uniontown, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today. They were married on Oct. 27, 1962 by the Rev. H.B. Rittenhouse in Oakland, Md.

Mrs. Dean is the former Bonnie Lytle of Continental 3.

Mr. Dean retired in 1996 after 30 years with USX, Clairton Works. He is employed parttime as a teacher’s aide with the Laurel Highlands School District.

They are the parents of three children, Jerry Dean and his wife, Tricia; Paul Dean and his fianc’e, Loretta Jordan; and Joy Lynn Dean Wrona and her husband, David L. Wrona II, all of Uniontown.

They have five grandchildren, Tia Dean and Torey Dean of Footedale; Taylor Wrona, David L. Wrona III and Nicholas Wrona, of Uniontown.

They were honored at a family dinner hosted by their children and grandchildren.
