Martha and Edward Zapach were married on Sept. 5, 1953, at St. Mary’s Nativity Church, Uniontown. On Aug. 10, a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary began with a renewal of marriage vows at Mass in St. Mary’s Nativity Church, Uniontown. A dinner reception was held in their honor at Becker’s Shady Side Inn, Uniontown with 75 family and friends attending from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Martha and Edward Zapach are the parents of three children, Deborah and husband, Thomas Tandarich, of Uniontown; Edward G. and wife, Cynthia Zapach of Painesville, Ohio, and Thomas and wife Patricia Zapach of Fairmont. W. Va.

Mrs. Zapach, the former Martha A. Krishan, is retired from the Frankhouser Agency.

Mr. Zapach is retired from Fort Pitt Steel Casting Co., McKeesport.
