Former local residents mark 60 years of marriage
Robert J. and Nell R. Greybeck of Medford, Ore., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday. They were married Feb. 1, 1943, in Dalhart, Texas, during Mr. Greybeck’s military service in the U. S. Army Air Corps. Mrs. Greybeck was a student at Texas Tech at the time.
Mr. Greybeck’s career in the coal industry after receiving his engineering degree took him to various mining communities in Windber, Uniontown, Pittsburgh, and also in areas of Kentucky, West Virginia and Illinois, before his retirement.
They developed many friends through activities in church, Scottish Rite, Eastern Star and scouts.
They have three children, Sylvia of Seattle, Wash., Robert Jr., Medford, Ore., and James Dale of Reno, Nev. They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The Greybecks reside at 2217 Roberts Road, Medford, Ore., 97504.
