Pikulskies observe 50th wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J Pikulski Sr. of Footedale celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Jan. 25, 1953, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Footedale by the Rev. Stanley Gawronski. Mr. Pikulski is the son of the late John and Agnes Pikulski of Footedale and is retired from U.S. Steel Corp., Robena Mine Slope in Greene County.
Mrs. Pikulski is the former Patricia L. Burke, daughter of the late Frank and Frances Burke of Lamberton.
They are the parents of three children, Anthony and his wife, Elizabeth, of Morgantown, W.Va.; Anita and her husband, Michael, of Perryopolis; and Veronica and her husband, Ron, of New Salem.
They have eight grandchildren, Jacqueline and Patrick Pikulski, Patricia and Amanda McNeill, April, Autumn, and Ronald Kutek, and Toni Ann Pikulski, deceased.
A Mass to commemorate their 50th wedding anniversary was held at St. Thomas Church celebrated by Rev. James Popochock followed by a family dinner at the Coal Baron Restaurant. An open house is being planned for June.
