Cirotas celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
John and Trudy Cirota of Clarksville celebrated their golden wedding anniversary June 27. While serving in the United States Marine Corps as a Second Marine Airwing at Cherry Point, N.C., Cpl. Cirota and Trudy were married at St. Thomas Church, Clarksville, with the Rev. Michael Mihok officiating.
On their 25th silver anniversary June 27, 1978, they renewed their vows with the Rev. Domenic Sgro of the First Christian Church.
Mr. Cirota is the son of the late James and Constance Cirota and Mrs. Cirota is the daughter of the late Earl and Ethel Lewis.
They are the parents of four children, John Cirota of Carmichaels, Tina Adamson of Waynesburg, Nancy Faieta of Rices Landing and Vincent Cirota of Clarksville.
They have eight grandchildren, Jennifer Henry, Tony, Brynn and Ryan Cirota, Melanie and Daniel Adamson, Kristen and Brandon Faieta, and two great-grandsons, Colton and Brett Henry.
Mr. Cirota is retired from Gateway Coal Co. as an electrical belt foreman with 41 years of service.
Mrs. Cirota is a full-time homemaker.
Their children honored them with a night at the Hampton Inn in Uniontown and a surprise dinner celebration with family and friends at the Nemacolin Country Club where they renewed their vows with Rev. Sgro officiating.
