Venturas celebrate 50th wedding anniversary on May 9
Robert Sr. and Agnes Ventura of Uniontown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 9. They were married May 9, 1953, at the St. Therese R.C. Church by the late Father Nicholas J. Thomas.
They are the parents of four children, Sue Ann and husband Dennis Milsom Sr., Uniontown; Diana and husband, James McDowell, Uniontown; Robert Jr. and wife, Karen Ventura, Delmont, and Kristina and husband, Anthony DelVerme, Uniontown.
They have eight grandchildren, Ensign Dennis Milsom Jr., Hanahan, S.C.; Vincent and wife, Erin Milsom, Uniontown; David Milsom, Greensburg; Rebecca and James McDowell, Uniontown; Brendan and Kyra Ventura, Delmont; and Dante DelVerme, Uniontown.
Mrs. Ventura is the former Agnes Spaw, daughter of the late Thomas and Blanche Spaw of Uniontown.
Mr. Ventura is the son of the late Humber and Mildred Ventura of Uniontown. He is retired owner of Bob’s Shoe Repair and Shoe Store. He is currently employed by Superior Automotive Group of Uniontown.
A small family party was held in their honor at the Amvets, Hopwood.
