Mr. and Mrs. David Prekup celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 4. They were married in 1954 at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Fredericktown, by the Rev. Margo.

Mrs. Prekup is the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes Takash. She is retired from RCA Meadowlands with 30 years’ service, and Adam’s Personal Care Home in Brownsville with 17 years service.

Mr. Prekup is the son of the late George and Esther Prekup. He is retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 40 years as postmaster of Vestaburg.

They are the parents of a son, David Allan of Vestaburg.

Their son honored them with a reception for family and friends at Hugo’s Restaurant in Centerville.
