Stringfellows mark 50th wedding anniversary
Rev. and Mrs. Madison (String) Stringfellow celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18. They were married on Sept. 18, 1954, at the Salem Lutheran Church in Lamartine, by the Rev. Frank Herzel.
Mrs. Stringfellow is the former June Marie Miller, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Miller of Lamartine. Rev. Stringfellow is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Madison Stringfellow of Lamartine.
Rev. Stringfellow is currently serving as the pastor of the Hopwood-Brownfield charge of the United Methodist Church in Hopwood. He formerly served at the Allegheny Highlands Charge of the United Methodist Church in Leeper, now known as the Tylersburg Charge. Before serving as a pastor, he was employed 34 years at Owens Illinois Glass Plant in Clairton.
The couple plan to retire in June nd move to Lower Burrell.
They are the parents of two daughters, Karen Haws of Lower Burrell and Pamela Raybuck of Knox.
They also have three grandchildren, Angela and Curt Raybuck and Justin Haws. A fourth grandchild, Bradley S. Raybuck, passed away at the age of 17.
A surprise reception was held in their honor on Sept. 18 at the Brownfield United Methodist Church in Brownfield.
