Castors renew vows for 50th wedding anniversary

Charles C. and JoAnn Castor of Uniontown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday. They were married Aug. 6, 1955, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, by the Rev. Andrew Hredzak.

They are members of St. Therese deLiseiux Catholic Church where they renewed their vows on Saturday with the Rev. Kenneth Zaccagnini officiating.

Mrs. Castor is the former JoAnn Moser, daughter of the late Michael and Anna Moser.

Mr. Castor is the son of the late Anthony and Anna Castor. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War conflict. He is a retired production foreman from Steel Scaffolding of Uniontown.

He is a member of the Uniontown Area School District board of directors and Fayette County Area Vo-Tech operating committee.

They are the parents of four children, Charlanne C. Markarun and husband, Ron, Christopher C. Castor and wife Terri, all of Uniontown; Carolyn C. Garver and husband Paul and Craig C. Castor and wife Amy, all of Pittsburgh.

There are two grandchildren, Cody C. Castor of Uniontown, and Benjamin C. Castor of Pittsburgh.

In their honor, their children hosted an open house at The Uniontown Country Club.
