Mr. and Mrs. Daniels celebrate 50th anniversary

Harry and Marlene Daniels of Elyria, Ohio are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today. They were married at Calvary United Methodist Church, Uniontown, on Nov. 13, 1955 by the Rev. E.J. Kiefer.

Mrs. Daniels is the former Marlene Cox. Her mother, Evelyn Cox, resides in Uniontown.

Mrs. Daniels graduated in 1954 from Uniontown High School. She was employed with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and is a member of North Eaton Christian Church where she served as an elder, Sunday school superintendent, teacher and clerk and is a member of the choir. She was also president of the Eve Circle.

Mr. Daniels graduated from North Union High School and served for four years in the U.S. Air Force, having serving in the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1986 from the Chevrolet Co. in Parma, Ohio, after 31 years service. He is also a member of North Eaton Christian Church where he served as elder, deacon, trustee, Sunday School superintendent and teacher. He is also a member of the choir.

Their children are Harry Lee and his wife, Pam, Lorain, Ohio; Larry Ray and wife, Deb, Danville, Ohio; Leslie Sue Klein and husband, Royce, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and Barry Craig and his wife, Melissa of LaGrange, Ohio.

They have 15 grandchildren.

A family luncheon will be held at Sugar Creek Restaurant in Sheffield Village, Ohio.
