Mr. and Mrs. Smolley celebrate 50th anniversary
Tony and Mary Smolley of Hopwood celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3. They were married on Sept. 3, 1955, at St. Mary’s Church, Uniontown by the Rev. Andrew Hredzak. They are members of St. Mary’s where a Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated in their honor followed by a dinner for family and friends at the Uniontown Country Club.
They are the parents of three children, Mark and his wife Debra of San Jose, Calif., Bernadine and her husband, Neil Love of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and Frank also of Hilton Head.
They also have four grandchildren, Kay and Sarah Smolley and Glenn Lairen and Benjamin Love.
Mrs. Smolley is the former Mary Lukasik, daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Lukasik of Royal. She is retired from the Medical Records Department of The Uniontown Hospital.
Mr. Smolley is the son of the late John and Anna Smolley of Hopwood.
He is retired from U. S. Steel Corporation at the Filbert Shop.
