Roths celebrate 50th anniversary
James and Dolores Roth celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 5. They were honored at a reception on Aug. 26 by their children at Amvets Post 103, Hopwood. They renewed their marriage vows during Mass on Sept. 4 at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Crookston officiated.
The Roths were married on Sept. 5, 1955, at St. Mary Church, Uniontown, by the Rev. Fabian Oris, Mrs. Roth’s uncle. Mrs. Roth is the former Dolores Kotlar, daughter of the late Stephen and Pauline Kotlar. Mr. Roth is the son of the late Frank and Rose Roth.
Mr. Roth is retired from Fayette Furnace Co. where he was a former owner. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.
They are parents, grandparents and great-grandparents to: Debbie and her husband Chuck Correal of Pittsburgh, and their children Sarah, Casey and Emily; the late Janet Potkul and her children Stephanie and Brian, and his wife Lisa and their son Creed; Donna and her husband Chuck Pecsko of New Salem and their children Chuckie, Jessica and Michael; Karen and her husband Carl Ciez of Uniontown and their children Carl Jr. and Steven; and Jimmy and his wife Carrie and their children Jordon, Ireland and Liberty of Portland, Ore.
