Mr. and Mrs. Downs mark 51st anniversary

James R. and Elva G. Downs of Lemont Furnace will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary today. They were married on Oct. 15, 1955, at the Mount Braddock United Methodist Church with the Rev. H.M. Jenkins of Addison officiating.

Mrs. Downs is the former Elva Gordon, daughter of the late Archie and Frances Elizabeth Gordon.

She is retired from West Penn Power after 46 years of service.

Mr. Downs is the son of the late Earl and Hazel Downs.

He is retired from Anchor Hocking Glass.
