Mr. and Mrs. Zayance celebrate 50 years of marriage
John and Rita Zayance of Royal Oak, Mich., recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 1, 1956, at St. Hedwigs Catholic Church in Smock.
Mrs. Zayance is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pohinski of Smock.
Mr. Zayance is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Zayance of Rowes Run.
A dinner was held at Sholas Restaurant in Troy, Mich.
In attendance were their sons and daughters-in-law and grandchildren, John and his wife Karen and children, John and Mallory; and Joseph and his wife, Traci and children, Ryan and Cory.
Mrs. Zayance graduated from Uniontown High School Class of 1949.
Mr. Zayance graduated from Redstone High School also in 1949.
He has been retired from the Chrysler Corp. since 1995.
