Barons observe 65th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Baron of Grindstone celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30. They have a daughter, Charmaine Barton, and two granddaughters, JoAnn and Caitlin.

Mrs. Baron is the former Betty Jane Guy.

They are both members of the United Mine Workers of America.

Mr. Baron is a veteran of World War II and is a retired coal miner after 44 years of service with U.S. Steel Corp.
