Mr. and Mrs. Thompson celebrate 50th anniversary
James Roy and Doris Thompson of Fairchance recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Feb. 16, 1957 at Chalk Hill United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Thompson is the former Doris Lohr, daughter of the late Walter and Mabel Lohr.
Mr. Thompson is the son of the late James Clark and Luella Thompson.
A dinner party was held at Lucky’s Gourmet To Go Restaurant.
They have two children: James Raymond and his wife Jean (Roskovensky) Thompson; Alan Earl and his wife Terri (Hannan) Thompson.
The couple have five grandchildren, Katie and Ross, children of James and Jean and Sheena, Phillip and Brent, children of Alan and Terri.
