Louise and Thomas Cottrell Sr. of Lake Lynn celebrated their 35 years of marriage on June 19. They were married at Cumberland, Md. They have three children, April McElroy (husband, Eric), Thomas Cottrell Jr. (wife, Melinda), and Kristina Tanner (husband, James).

They have eight grandchildren, Jason, Hannah and Madeline McElroy; Trey and Trent Cottrell; Hunter, Emma and J.J. Tanner.

Mrs. Cottrell is the former Louise Whitaker of Point Marion, daughter of the late Arlie and Margaret Whitaker.

Mr. Cottrell is the son of the late Raymond and Pearl Cottrell. He is employed at Emerald Mine and has been a coal miner for 36 years.

An anniversary trip to Atlantic City, N.J., is planned.
