Mr. and Mrs. Angelo mark 60th anniversary
Elroy (Bud) Angelo and Marge Angelo of Fairchance celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 28. They were married in St. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Cumberland, Md., by the Rev. Noel Troyan in 1947. Mrs. Angelo is the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Hromlyuk) Palya. Mr. Angelo is the son of the late Sullivan and Carrie (Shipley) Angelo.
They are the parents of six children. Joyce Dankovich of Painesville, Ohio, Marge Kozak of Uniontown, Elroy (Bud) Angelo and his wife Paulette of Fairchance, Renee Lafferty and her husband Brian of Fairchance, William (Bill) Angelo of Hemet, Calif., and Lisa Patterson and her husband Steve (Duke) of Smithfield.
Their eight grandchildren are Matthew Dankovich of Ohio, Cindy Robbins of Penn Craft, Mike Kozak of Hopwood, Jocie Konopa of Uniontown, Douglas Patterson of Arizona, Lacey Greeley of Fairchance, Christi and Jessica Patterson of Smithfield.
They also have four great granddaughters and three great grandsons.
Mr. Angelo was employed at Robena Mines for 37 years and is retired. He served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
A family dinner at the Coal Baron marked the occasion.
