Jim and Bernie Hines of Connellsville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently at a gathering of family and friends at Cherry Tree Nursing Center in Uniontown. They were married at Wesley United Methodist Church, Connellsville, July 23, 1948, where they have been long-time members.

They have three children, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Among those attending were five members of a card club of which Bernie has been a member for more than 50 years.

Also attending was Marilyn Weaver, their flower girl for the wedding.
