Wingards mark 50 years of marriage
Mr. and Mrs. Hobart Wingard of Sun City West, Ariz., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday. They were married June 6, 1959, by the Rev. Earl P. Confer at Central Christian Church, Uniontown. Elva and the late William Conroy were attendants. Mrs. Wingard is the former Janet Newcomer, daughter of the late Alice and Donald Newcomer, formerly of Continental 2.
Mr. Wingard is the son of the late Mary Elizabeth and Garrett Wingard of Searights.
The Wingards are the retired owners of a retail department store and Value Travel in Altoona.
They are parents of four children, Tammie Pheasant and husband Wayne of Williamsburg; Hobart J. Wingard II and wife Debbie of Surprise, Ariz.; Attorney William Wingard and wife Lacey of Chandler Heights, Ariz., and Julie Wingard of Surprise, Ariz.
They also have 13 grandchildren.
The anniversary was celebrated in Orlando, Fla., with family.
