George and Janet Gaydos of Uniontown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 24. A divine liturgy was celebrated in their honor at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church where they were married in 1959.

Mrs. Gaydos is the former Janet L. Morganosky, daughter of the late George and Gabriella Barcheck Morganosky. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Gaydos served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958 and retired from Rockwell International and Sensus Technologies after 34 years’ service. He is the son of the late John and Veronica Bersock Gaydos.

They are the parents of Diana L. Salansky of Zushi, Japan, and George D. Gaydos, Washington, D.C.
