Byron and Loretta Davis of Smithfield celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday. They were married Oct. 22, 1949, by the Rev. Denver C. Pickens at St. Paul Methodist Church, Oakland, Md.

Mrs. Davis was previously employed at Jendrall’s Pharmacy. Mr. Davis is retired from 20 years of self-employment at Davis Generator Service. He also served as supervisor for Springhill Township.

They have a son, Kevin and his wife, Kathy of Smithfield

They have a granddaughter, Megan.

They were honored at a family dinner.
