Mr., Mrs. Bero celebrate 50th anniversary
Lee and Carol Bero of Hopwood will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Wednesday. They were married Aug. 25, 1960, in Deep Creek, Md.
Mrs. Bero is the former Carol Pilipick, daughter of the late August and Dorothy Pilipick.
She was employed by The Bon Ton for more than 20 years and also worked for Bell Telephone.
Mr. Bero is the son of the late Colman and Margaret Bero. He worked as an ironworker with Local Union 3 of Pittsburgh for more than 35 years.
They are the parents of three children, Jeffrey Bero and his wife, Gloria, of El Paso, Texas; Gary Bero and his wife, Bobbie, of Saline, Mich., and Susan Jeffries and her husband, Joe, of Medford, N.J.
They have seven grandchildren, Renee Bero, Kyle Bero, Cassidy Bero, Josie Bero, Rylee Bero, Cole Jeffries and Sarah Jeffries.
To mark the occasion, their family surprised them with an Alaskan cruise and tour.
