50th anniversary celebrated by Gaskills

David and Joanne Gaskill of West Brownsville recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married July 31, 1960, by the Rev. Louis Sprowls at the First Baptist Church in Brownsville.

Mrs. Gaskill is the former Joanne McIntosh, daughter of the late Wilbur and Edith McIntosh. She was formerly employed at Reed’s Drug Store in Brownsville.

Mr. Gaskill is the son of the late Freeman and Elsie Gaskill. He is a retired schoolteacher having taught at Penn Hills High School in Pittsburgh.

A dinner and program was held at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, W.Va., hosted by their sons and families.

They are the parents of three sons, David M. and wife Linda of North Kingstown, R.I., Scott and wife Ruth of Brockport, N.Y, and Jeffrey and wife Donna of Downingtown.

They have four grandchildren, Amanda, a student at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass.; Jacob, a student at Syracuse University, New York; Grace, a student at Brockport High School, and Jonathan, student at North Kingstown High School.
