Mongell–Gratchic

Tiffany L. Gratchic of Normalville and James A. Mongell Jr. of Connellsville were united in marriage July 9 at St. Rita’s Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with Deacon Bill Hisker officiating.
The bride wore a white satin A-line strapless Alfred Angelo gown with a semi-cathedral train. Both the gown and the veil were embellished with crystal beading, sequins and rhinestones.
Matron of honor was Joliene Gratchic, sister-in-law of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Sara Swaney, the groom’s sister; and Monica Brown and Jenna Hoover, cousins of the bride.
Jocelyn and Madison Gratchic, nieces of the bride, were flower girls.
Best man was Nicholas Mongell, the groom’s brother.
Ushers were Daniel Gratchic Jr., brother of the bride; Andrew Mongell, cousin of the groom; and Charlie Swaney, brother-in-law of the groom.
Jace Gratchic, the bride’s nephew, was ring bearer.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Connellsville Area Senior High School, a 2007 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a 2009 graduate of St,. Vincent College. She is a teacher in the Brownsville Area School District.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Geibel Catholic High School and a 2005 graduate of St. Vincent College. He is a social worker at Chartiers Center, Pittsburgh.
A reception was held at Lakeside’s Crystal Ballroom in McClellandtown.
The couple honeymooned at Galley Bay Resort, Antigua. They are residing in Scottdale.
