Mr., Mrs. Matthews celebrate 60th anniversary
Donald and Alverta Matthews Sr. of Lemont Furnace celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 25.
They were married on August 25, 1951, in Cumberland, Md.
Mrs. Matthews is the former Alverta Scott, daughter of the late Jim and Bertha Scott.
Mr. Matthews is the son of the late William and Grace Matthews.
They are the parents of Curt Matthews Sr. and the late Donald Matthews Jr. They also have two grandchildren, Michelle Miller and Curt Matthews Jr., and two great grandchildren, Paige Miller and Morgan Stiner, who they love spending time with.
Mr. and Mrs. Matthews celebrated their anniversary with their family.
