MASONTOWN COMMUNITY KITCHEN will host a meal from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 102 West Church Ave., Masontown. The New Year will be celebrated with a good hot meal of homemade chicken soup, salads, Panera breads and desserts. The public is invited to attend and share the kitchen’s first meal of the new year and enjoy the fellowship and hospitality always found there. The meals are free to anyone in need, but donations are gratefully welcomed and accepted. The soup kitchen is operated by volunteers from the area and nearly every church of every denomination in the surrounding locale.
