Mr., Mrs. Wood celebrate 60th anniversary
Cecil and Dolores Wood of Smithfield celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 23 while vacationing in Bradenton, Fla.
Mrs. wood is the former Dolores Drop, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Drop of Florida. She worked at Sterling Faucet Plant in Morgantown for 29 years and is retired.
Mr. Wood is the son of the late Loring and Georgia Wood of Point Marion. He is retired after working 39 years as a track foreman for CSX Railroad.
They have five children, Gary and wife Kathy Wood of Waynesburg, Linda and husband David Lowe of Smithfield, Dana Wood and fiance Linda Lohr of Connellsville, Brenda and husband Mike Smith of Uniontown and Robin Fike of Pittsburgh.
Their four grandchildren are Justin, Shannan, Ryan and Jason. They have four great-grandchildren, Conner, Braydon, Jemma Rae and Jason Jr.
A dinner at Yoder’s in Sarasota, Fla., with Linda, David Lowe and Jason Cook Jr., marked the occasion.
