Catherine Kennerknecht and S. Sgt. Vincent C. Bartczak of Richland, N.C., were united in marriage.

Monsignor Tom Snyderwine officiated the nuptial Mass June 19 at St. Luke Roman Catholic Church, Erie.

The bride is the daughter of Robert J. and Sheila Kennerknecht of Edinboro. The bridegroom is the son of Debra and Herb Miller of Masontown and Charles Bartczak of Cleveland, Ohio.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white silk and organza gown adorned with pearl beading on the bodice, train and scalloped lace edging. A jeweled headband held a chapel-length veil.

Maid of honor was Jessie Hametz. Bridesmaids were Dawn Anselment, Laurene Golf, Liz Coleman, Samantha Young, Jackie Sinclair, Megan Kennerknecht and Amy Kennerknecht.

Chuck Bartczak, brother of the bride, was best man. Groomsmen were Charles Bartczak, Kevin Bartczak, S. Sgt. Colin Fine, Capt. Steven Allshouse, Jacob Kennerknecht, Robert Kennerknecht and Michael Kennerknecht.

A reception was held at the Avalon Hotel in Erie.

The bride graduated from General McLane High School and Pennsylvania State University. She is a kindergarten teacher at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and is serving with the U.S. Marines at Camp Lejeune and is now deployed in Afghanistan.

They honeymooned in Hawaii on the islands of Oahu and Maui.

They reside in Richland, N.C.
