Community calendar
FAIRCHANCE FREE METHODIST CHURCH, 53 S. Morgantown St., Fairchance, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday to benefit Children’s Bible Ministries. A free-will offering will be accepted. Children’s Bible Ministries oversees the Bible Release Program for Green and Fayette counties.
ADDISON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT will hold a rabies clinic from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
ALL SAINTS REGIONAL SCHOOL will hold a basket and handbag bingo on Sunday at St. Hugh Catholic Church Social Hall, Carmichaels. The doors open at noon and bingo will begin at 1 p.m. Tickets are $20, which includes 20 games of bingo. There will also be other well-known purse raffle, a 50/50 raffle and a food/refreshment stand. Tickets are limited. For tickets call the school office at 724-583-2141.
ST. THERESE ALTAR SOCIETY will attend the 9:30 a.m. Mass Sunday preceded by recitation of the rosary at 9 a.m. The April meeting will be held at 7 p.m. April 7 at the parish center.
BOY SCOUT TROOP 609 will hold an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Food and baked goods will be available for purchase.
War and Veterans Inc. committee along with the University of California under the direction of Capt. Robert Prah through the Veterans Administration office will be collecting needed items for military troops today through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the campus of California University of Pennsylvania. Items to be collected are toiletries and non-perishables. Campus organizations are greatly needed and welcomed to help with the collection. Donations in the form of postage can be made payable to the War and Veterans Inc. and mailed to 322 Dixon Blvd., Uniontown, Pa., 15401.
