AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY UNIT 51 will not hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting for December at the post home. Instead, it will have its annual Christmas party at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Flamingo Restaurant, Uniontown. A $10 gift exchange is optional. The auxiliary’s regularly scheduled monthly meeting will resume in January.
GREENWOOD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF CONNELLSVILLE will host the Scottdale Band’s annual Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 16. Everyone is invited to attend the concert at the church located on the corner of South Ninth (Route 119) and Green streets. Light refreshments will be served. The concert will benefit Connellsville Area Community Ministries. Canned goods and monetary donations are very much needed by CACM.
CALIFORNIA UNITED METHODIST WOMEN will host their biennial Creche Show from noon until 3 p.m. Dec. 10 and 11 at the California United Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall, located at the corner of Third and Liberty streets, California. In the past, the show has had approximately 40 Nativity sets in different sizes, shapes, colors and made in different countries. The organization is hoping for more this year.
