Julie Marie Nickman and Matthew Shane Petrie were united in marriage July 2 at St. George Maronite Church.

Father Nadim Helou officiated the ceremony. Valerie Howard of Venetia, Pa., and Sylvia Bender of Lawrence, Pa., provided music for the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of James and Karen Nickman of Uniontown.

The groom is the son of David and Jane Petrie of Fayetteville, Ga.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory strapless silk taffeta gown with a ruched dropped waist bodice and full skirt adorned with flowers. She also wore a cathedral-length tulle veil.

The matron of honor was Tiffany Haim of Old Saybrook, Conn.

Bridesmaids were Claire Kelly of Pompano Beach, Fla., Nancy Pham-Thomas of Dublin, Calif., and Reena Shah of Vienna, Va. Flower girl was Ella Howard of Windemere, Fla.

Best man was Mario DeMarco of Philadelphia, Pa.

Groomsmen were Jeremy Thomas of Dublin, Calif., James Nickman Jr. of Uniontown and Jacob Nickman of Pittsburgh. Ring bearer was Luke Howard of Windemere, Fla.

A reception was held at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, where 39 Mariner provided the music.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Geibel Catholic High School, a 2001 graduate of Villanova University and a 2005 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She is currently employed as a dentist.

The groom graduated from Woodward Academy High School in 1998, Vanderbilt University in 2002 and Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2006. He is currently employed as a dermatologist.

Following a honeymoon to Italy, the couple is residing in Annapolis, Md.
